I took this pill the other day and need to know things about it?? Help please.?

I started to take l-lysine the other day. I took one 1000mg tablet. The following morning I vomited quite a few times and felt sick all day. I felt sick for a fee days after. Is this a side effect of this pill? Should I not take it again?
