I THINK it'll help you lose weight. But I mean, you still have to consume healthy foods, cuz let's say you are eating 1500 calories worth of chocolate bars... That won't help. But it's good that you keep it at 1200 calories per day because I hear it's the best thing to do on a diet. How long will my cold sore last?

So i just got a cold sore this morning. I put some Lysine+ on right away and then took it off 20 minutes later b/c i had to do my makeup. Right after i got home from school i put some more Lysine+ on. My cold sore is HUGE, like the size of a quarter and its not even on my lips but right above my lips. I wanna get rid of it before school ends which is in 1 week. I'm just wondering if i keep applying Lysine+(during and after school) if it'll be gone before school ends, and if not what else can i do.

How many days after a tonsillectomy does your throat start to feel better?

I had a tonsillectomy Thursday the 16th, so 9 days ago and the pain in my throat hasn't gotten any better. I would be so mad! I dont have herpes, but I've had blisters, my dog had a herpe on her lips or a blister. Anyways, I put honey on it. It went away entirely on her. Honey is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. I've used it on burns (had a really bad one from broiler in oven) and my burn did not blister, scab, and hardly scarred. You could try it. Problem with cold sores?

Why is my computer crashing this way?

Ok, so Im playing World of Warcraft, and me and my arena team are in the heat of battle. The match is getting close as a teamate falls right after an opponent is slain. As the number of dead gladiators rises it apears that it has finally narowed down to me and 1 opponent. We lock gazes as I push out the cheering and quick battle tips from my dead companions rooting me on. As the excitement builds up between me and the other fighter, we meet head to head in the midst of the arena and ferociously clash and parry our swords. Before the other gladiator relizes it he has made a terrible mistake in his battle rotation, leaving him vulnerable to attack. He knows he has been bested even before I deal the final blow. I raise my sword, preparing to thrust it through his skull then all of a sudden- SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH -_- My heart jumps as a solid color screen apears on my monitor with a loud background noise of what seems to be pacman on steriods. I cant even describe to you in words how frustrated I feel at this moment. Ive let down 4 of my teamates all because of what? A technical difficulty? Its just ridiculous. What could be causing this? It happens very frequently and it is very anoying. The solid colour is random every time and the noise is just god awful. Well I date this man who in all ways appears to be a skin head (i am hispanic)?

He has a shaved head, swastika symbols, 14/88 and many other tattoos on his body, wears the steel toed boots and such but says his tattoos have diff meanings. Cat has chronic URI....anyone have any suggestions on how to treat it?

My 8 yr old grey tabby has chronic URI, his symptoms include uncontrollable sneezing and nasal discharge. Sorry to give the gross details, but basically he sneezes uncontrollably and the cat boogers will fly out of his nose. I'm getting really tired of having to clean them off of my walls/baseboards. He also has horrible smelling breath and his eyes weep. I've taken him to the vet numerous times, the vet always prescribes expensive antibiotics which fix the problem temporarily, but as soon as he's finished with the medicine the symptoms come back. So for a while I've been giving him 2 tsp's of viralysis twice a day mixed in his wet food (its lysine in a gel form) Not so sure its helping him much as he's still sneezing and has the discharge. Kitten puking up food?

I have a 5-7 week old kitten (not sure about her exact age cause I found her). She's tiny, but she's eating canned kitten food. When I first got her last week she was having problems with gunky eyes and a runny nose, so I got some eye wipes and started giving her L-Lysine which was recommended by a friend who's a long-time cat owner. There's much more to this story than just the title. However, I see that I only have 5000 characters, so I'll do my best to summarize. Today, on my way home, I saw that my dad had a missed call on his phone. I opened the screen to see who it was, and right below, I saw that he had an unread text from an unsaved contact. I recognized the number, so I entered it into my own phone and found that it matched the cell phone of my aunt (mother's brother's common law wife). It seemed a little over-affectionate, so I opened his inbox and outbox, purely out of curiosity because I'm only human. Much to my horror, I found a whole slew of messages, sent and received, between my dad & my aunt. Some of them were really explicit, and one even said something hurtful about my family. There is no way that I could ever confront my dad about this - I can hardly look at him. The idea of talking to my mom scares me. She stopped working once she had her first kid (I have two siblings in their 20s), so my dad brings home the bacon. If she wanted a divorce, it would hurt her not only emotionally, but financially, for sure. I don't have the heart to talk about this with my siblings, and also am afraid of how they would handle the situation. What's even worse is that I know this must have been going on for a long time. See, my dad's father died a few years ago. Since then, he's been taking a lot of weekend trips to "see his mom", but the texts I read made it clear that they have been meeting in the city where my grandma lives. Kitten has a bad URI and a swollen throat...?

I have a 4 month old kitten that has had numerous upper respiratory infections. This time is the worst so far. I've brought him to the vet 3 times in the last two weeks since the infection started. First they gave him clavamox which didn't seem to help much so I went back and they gave him more clavamox. Then I noticed his throat was swollen and his nose and mouth would bleed after he ate. When I say his throat is swollen I literally mean under his chin... not the glands. They are a little swollen too but the throat is like rock hard. Also, his eyes started producing discharge. I brought him back to the vet when I found this earlier this week and he anesthetized him to search his throat for foreign objects and swelling. He found that his throat was peeling skin which was causing the bleeding. He gave him an injection of convenia and some more clavamox. It is two days later now and the kitten's throat is still as bad as it was when I first discovered it and there has been occasional bleeding. He won't even swallow his pills anymore and as of today won't eat unless I force feed him. I think it hurts him to swallow because he won't even swallow water. I'm worried about this kitten and I feel like I have tried everything. This kitten came from a shelter and just hasn't had an easy month he has been with us. He has just been constantly sick and my heart aches for him. Does anyone have any experience with their cats getting injections of convenia? Also, I heard about people using l-lysine when other options don't work, has anyone ever tried this? Another thing, he was on steroids for a bad infection he had a few weeks ago which seemed to be the only thing that helped but the vet said that they prefer not to put kittens on steroids. sometimes we are told of a disease that we have from our doctors and we do not want to accept it. It will eventually sink in and you will learn how to live with it, most of what you have said sounds like you have fibromyalgia. Get a second opinion from another doctor to run more tests on you but then again there goes the insurance money. My friend has fibromyalgia and she is on disability after fighting and getting a lawyer. I haven't really researched fibromyalgia but I am sure it's a disease associated with a lot of pain in the bones. I am young and was told I have to be on high blood pressure meds and didn't want to accept it. I was put on lisinopril and now I am suffering from a right frozen shoulder, a side effect from lisinopril. I read up on frozen shoulder and it's common in people 50 and up. I am no where near 50 so I too am wondering why am I suffering from this condition and the high blood pressure. I saw on tv today a kid suffering from diabetes when he was just 2 years old. Why does my brother hate me so much?

I'm 13 and my brother is 15. Even though I just act casual and don't talk to him much he says I'm a punk because of the school I go to (we go to diff schools) and that everyone is a drama queen or king even though I don't talk to him all that much , let alone about anything at my school. Afterwards he still acted the same as before and when he told me to kill myself again I told him I tried to because of him and them he told me that I was being a whiney little ***** and that it wasn't because of him. Tampon Problems! Please Help?

During my last period (two months ago) I tried tampons for the first time. I put it in, and didnt feel anything. When I tried this month, the same way, I could feel it in. It felt like it wasnt in all the way and at times it would feel like it was falling out. Yesterday, I forced myself to wear one. It was ok when I sat, but when I stood I kept leaning forward cause it hurt so bad. I used the same brand, and tried inserting it diff. ways. I even tried "super" instead of "regular". Cold sore, am i on the right track?

Hello, I've had a cold sore for 4 days. I never had one before, so the first day I scratched away not knowing that the hell it was!! Its on my lower lip, literally on it, not around it, its not that painful. By night time it was a big bump and I read online to use acetone. I did that. DID NOT work. I also put on toothpaste at overnight and it didn't do much. I used salt as well, it burned like hell and didn't do much. The second day I mostly just left it alone, I think I used salt sometimes but still nothing.I also iced it a couple of times. On the third day I bought abreva and it helped a bit, I am also using carmix al these days, today is the 4thday, it seems noticibly smaller, still using abreva and carmix and took 3 L lysine 500mg earlier. How much longer do you guys think until is gone? The swelling is gone, its mistly just sort of a little tender and it hurts a bit when I clean it of course its like a smal open wound. You really have no choice but to take him to the vet; the medicine he needs is only available by prescription. My vet had me purchase a product called Genteel gel drops for my cat. It's artificial tears in a gel form so the effects last longer. They are around $10 and can be purchased at any drug store. I would try applying it to his eyes a couple of times a day to help relieve some of the discomfort until you can take him to the vet. You can also boil some salt water, let it cool, and use that water with a clean rag to remove any crusty material from around his eye. If he does not get treated by a veterinarian asap the infection will likely spread to his other eye, too. If you have a regular vet maybe you could call them and try to work out a payment arrangement. I hope your kitty starts feeling better soon!

I would guess that it was maybe a little bit of something that got in your eye. I think with allergies you would have more of an all- over redness/ pinkness and I would guess that you would get it every year. It's great that you took a contact break because that really will help your eye heal and prevent further injury from it rubbing on the eye. I would recommend using the eye drops that were prescribed, they might be a steroid or similar medicine that would help reduce the inflammation in your eye and give it a better chance to heal.

So recently i had an outbreak and got a cold sore on my upper lip. Ive treated it and its almost gone. I was sitting on my computer and noticed my bottom lip itched a little bit. Being me i freaked out, ran to the mirror and check to see if i had one coming on. It doesnt look like anything, but i iced it and put some meds on it anyways. Its not tingling, i don't think. Hes being unfair to a point. Theres nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself with a diet. BUT!!!.. if the diet your doing is starving yourself then it is completely wrong. From what i see though you have a good diet plan. Where I'd side with him is that I like every other guy, have a sense of accomplishment and pride when we do something thats out of the ordinary to win your aproval (IE the bread). Its a primal thing. I recently contracted herpes from my boyfriend. I've been in my first outbreak for almost a month now. I've been taking Lysine but I can tell that my body is just having a hard time, and I'd like to get treatment if I can. Hello. Ever since I was little, I've been getting cold sores every so often. My boyfriend has never had a cold sore, and I don't want to give him one. Swollen lip/ cold sore?? HELP ASAP?

A couple days ago I started developing a cold sore, no big deal. I did my usual toothpaste, rubbing alcohol, carmex routine while taking lysine, and nothing. My lip swelled up EASILY 3x it's normal size and will NOT go down. I've tried ice, salt, hot water... Nothing will get this to go down! The sore is relatively small, but it's my ENTIRE upper lip that's swollen!!!! Does anyone have suggestions to get the swelling down that DOESN'T require ice because that's done literally nothing. Laptop soundcard square/sawtooth waves?

I lately attached a home-made oscilloscope (LED matrix display) to the headphone jack of my computer. I was able to use Audacity to generate sine, square and sawtooth waves of different amplitude and frequency on the computer, and output them to the oscilloscope, where the oscilloscope drew the waveforms perfectly. However, when i tried this on a laptop computer, a very different result occurred. While sine waves were easily generated and displayed by the oscilloscope, the oscilloscope drew instead of a square wave, drew a waveform that looked distantly like a square wave, but looked more line a v=tan(t)) waveform, with spikes appearing in the middle of the top and bottom of the waveform. A similar result occur ed when i tried to use a sawtooth wave, large spikes appearing at the top of the sawtooth, not a perfect linear ramp. What i am asking, is arr the sound cards found in laptop computers incapable of creating anything other than a sine wave? I know that no device can create a perfect square or sawtooth wave (thy have finite slew rates), but do laptop sound cards tend to be more noisy than PC sound cards to the extent of producing that sort of waveform?

I HAVE A COLD!.. anyways, i did everything i see on the internet to do, acetone, salt, idk what else but i tried it . the cold sore is going away thankfully, but mid way of the first cold sore, i seemed to start getting another one on my top lip, i have been very careful with the first one, super clean with it. i used abreva right away but ran out, the new sores have not erupted or anything, they are just a couple of small bumps here and there. would they erupt? i am using l lysine and carmex, thats it.

I've been to a psych counseler all that jazz about my anger and self mutilation/moodswings/depression. But mainly anger. I was wonderin your opinion. I have hallusinations (voices mainly and they tell me to hurt myself like when I get mad they say "do it. Do it. Do it, come on like not big phrases but short ones when I wnna cut or burn myself. I always told every1 else it was just anger but its these commanding voices that tell me to. Also I think the reason I hear then is cause the devil is sending messages to the fbi or some secret group and they send some sort of radio wave to my brain. Also I think I have a power to read minds and predict things...its scary cause you don't have control of them....I see animals others don't see I think that's a power too also I can talk ato stuffed animals and they talk back its really cool...but people don't understand (my mom) she said I'm lying and want an excuse but I can't get her to believe me...please help. Can I get a companion for my cat who has feline herpes?

He was given eye drops for his eye infection and Interferon for a few months. He also eats Lysine treats every day. I own a 2007 nissan altima and the oil was not changed properly several months ago. . ALL the lights came on for awhile, then the car died on me in the middle of the road. . But i played along and he asked me how i felt about him, and i told him then i told him that i knew it was him the whole time. So then we started dating and he has a hard time trusting people so he didnt open up. And he would just randomly not come back to the hotel, and he would tell me he was going to his brothers to do laundry. I believed him, until i found out his brother had moved to a diff city 4 days before. Well he bought me flowers and a card, and apologized for lieing. And these werent cheap flowers. So i thought he was sserious that time, well he did it again but didnt say he was going to his brothers he told me straight up he was going to that girls house, but he lives there. Theres no where else for him to go where im at bc all his family lives in a dif state. Si i understand he had to go back there sometimes so she didnt kick him out and he would have no where to go.
