What happens if my old license (diff. state) gets suspended but I already have my new license?

Basically I got a ticket while about to move to a new state but since I moved, I got the ticket in the mail after it was due. Tried to pay it but it got kicked back to me. Then I got a notice saying my license would be suspended. I don't have that license anymore and already got my license in my new state. Is there a way to trace this back? Will my new license be suspended if the one they are trying to suspend doesn't even exist anymore? Hope this makes sense. It's a crappy situation.
