Will best buy give me new headphones?

I have the Beats by Dre solos. I have had them for a year now and when i bought them i got the 2 year warranty for $40 more. When my friend was using them on our way to vacation he went to take them off and the 4ukin band broke on them!!!! When we got them the guy reccomended we get the warranty cuz we could get them replaced on the spot whenever andi kno the dres have a band breaking issue. Will they replace them? And 1 problem is that i dont got the red cord, the control talk stopped working so i bought a diff cord. is that alriteeee?
