Can you pleas explain this?

In pyruvate dehydrogenase deficiency, there is backing up of substrates puruvate and alanine, resulting in lactic acidosis. the treatment is increase intake of ketogenic nutrients like hing fat content or increase lysine or leucine... my concern is ketones can cause acidosis right? so the more the acidotic that patient will become?
